My Story

Hello, my name is Joanna Willis. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Oakland University and my Masters in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. For the last twenty years, I’ve worked in the Human Service field in many different capacities and I love what I do. Working for Siebert Psychotherapy has been the highlight of my career to date. I love supporting individuals as they take their journey towards self discovery, awareness and inner healing.


I specialize in supporting men and women, ages 20+ in the areas of grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, self esteem and relationship challenges, life transitions and pregnancy related challenges. I utilize CBT, person centered approach and psycho-educational strategies to assist individuals with becoming the best version of themselves. This can be achieved when you become aware of where you’ve been, what you need and where you want to go. I'll walk alongside you as you take the needed steps to get there. I love assisting my clients with realizing that they’re truly unstoppable! I count it an honor to be apart of your support network.


I understand that each individual has a need that is unique to them and my desire is to actively listen and provide individualized counsel in a way that is most comfortable and effective for each client.  I am a dedicated, compassionate and empathic therapist. I’m passionate about supporting others as they start their journey towards hope and healing. Each individual is the expert on themselves, therefore I’m assisting you with getting the most out of your therapy sessions so that you can walk in the joy and peace that you deserve.
